AICC created the Scholastic Program for Indonesia\u00a0<\/strong>when few schools included anything about the country in their curriculums. Most textbooks had scant information about the country yet Americans relied on Indonesia’s products for their daily health and well being.\u00a0 Over 70,000 American schools participated and a teachers were encouraged to use the materials because if one of their students won the essay contest they would get to join them on a 14 day visit to Indonesia.<\/p>

Six students grade 7-12 were chosen and their parents accompanied them on the all expenses paid trip.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
