On behalf of our event partner, US-ASEAN Business Council, I am pleased to invite you to an in person program with one of Indonesia’s leading entrepreneurs Shinta Widjaya Kamdani.  Shinta will discuss Indonesia’s most recent economic policies, especially Trade Ministry Regulation 36, as well as give us her perspective on the new administration of President-elect Prabowo Subianto. Her role as Chairman of APINDO (Employer’s Association of Indonesia) and Vice Chair of KADIN (Indonesian Chamber of Commerce) gives her wide access to senior government officials. Over many years, working closely with US businesses and trade organizations, Shinta has earned a reputation for frankness and perceptiveness about Indonesia’s future direction. In Indonesia, Shinta has overcome her triple minority status (woman, ethic Chinese, non-Muslim) to become one of Indonesia’s visionary business leaders, recognized worldwide for her work on sustainabillity, women’s empowerment, and entrepreneurial development.
